Aligarh: In yet another controversial statement that can raise eyebrows, BJP candidate Varun Gandhi claimed to be Lord Ram himself.

Addressing an election meeting here, Varun said, ‘I am Ram.'

Earlier, promoting his party in Meerut, he said, ‘BJP is the voice of people and only this party can provide security in Uttar Pradesh.'

However, Varun was cautious while speaking on ‘Hindutva'.

Targetting Congress, Varun said, ‘Congress is in the last stages in the state.' Varun did not forget the recall his jail days. He said, ‘Mumbai terror attackers have also not been imposed NSA. They are charged under IPC.'
