Aagey Se Right- Movie ReviewTags: Shenaz Treasureywala , Vijay Maurya , Mahie Gill , Kay Kay Menon , Shreyas Talpade , Aagey Se Right Published by: Arslan Sharif Published: Fri, 04 Sep 2009 at 18:28 IST Cast: Shreyas Talpade, Kay Kay Menon, Mahie Gill, Vijay Maurya and Shenaz Treasureywala
Director:Indrajit Nattoji Rating: **1/2 If you are seeking a superfluous comedy, then this movie is worth a watch. “Aagey Se Right” is a story of goofed up cop Dinkar Waghmare (Shreyas) and his mindless exploits pitched against Balma Rashidui Khairi (Kay Kay), a dreaded Pakistan based terrorist. The flick that begins with a menacing Balma Rashidui suddenly pushing Dinkar and his goofball antics on the silver screen. Shreyas is a good for nothing bloke who ends up with a job in police force because of his parents. However, with just his second day on work, he loses his service revolver to thugs. From this point, stars Dinkar's frantic hunt for his revolver and meanwhile our poor chap faces the taunts of his overbearing mother. Apart from the goofball act of Dinkar, the movie focuses on Balma Rashidui Khairi (Kay Kay Menon) and Shetty (Vijay Maurya). Incidentally, with Balma Rashidui Khairi smitten by Pearl (Shenaz) – a sexy singer, the dreaded terrorist falls madly in love with her and abandons his big mission – blowing up Police Day function. This is indeed quite unlike a typical terrorist who gives up his assignment just because of love. Amidst all this slapstick farce, Dinkar keeps finding his gun only to lose it again. However, with Dinkar's gun being used by hooligans, our poor hero ends up saving the lives of possible victims and this makes him a local hero in the eye of Mahie who plays the role of a reporter. Nevertheless, with a predictable climax, Dinkar finally finds his gun and is successful in defusing the bomb at the Police Day function. Yet, by the time the film reaches its climax, it ends up being a tedious and boring flick that simply fails to tickle your funny bone! With an average performance by Shreyas Talpade, the only saving grace of the flick is Kay Kay Menon and Vijay Maurya. Kay Kay is simply best in his terrorist avatar so is Shenaz Treasurywala who is looking awesome in her svelte hot bod. Mahie Gill is wasted as she hardly has any substantial role in the flick. The movie can hence be said to be a one-watch, it could have been better ‘directionally' and director should also have exploited the actors more to make them deliver some improved stuff. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Share it
