Amar Singh says, thank you MulayamjiNew Delhi: Amar Singh today expressed his gratitude towards Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh and congratulated him for accepting his resignation on health grounds.
Addressing a press conference here, Amar Singh said, "I am thankful to guardian of Samajwadi Party Mulayam Singh Yadav for accepting my resignation." "I feel grateful to Mulayam Singhji for making me free and independant." He also urged his loyalists to maintain peace and keep away from making any remark against Samajwadi Party because his resignation was not a part of blackmailing or any attempt to gain political mileage. Singh said that his resignation was given political hue but he resigned on health grounds only. He said that Indian Medical Council President Dr Ketan Desai has advised him to take break from the busy political assignment as it will affect his kidney. He recently underwent kidney transplatation. "Desai advised me to take at least one year break from hectic political schedule and stay with family," he said. He also attacked Ram Gopal Yadav for making allegations on actor turned politician Sanjay Dutt. He said that he will not join any political party or float any political outfit. He said that he will try to follow the directions of true Samajwadi Party leaders like Ram Manohar Lohia, CP Thakur and many others. "I will try to be a samajwadi now and will work for social cause," he said while addressing a press conference with Sanjay Dutt. When asked whether he was not Samajwadi within the party, he said, "No, I was Mulayamwadi, I am accepting my fault." At the same time, he also thanked Congress Party for its approval to separate Telangana state in Andhra Pradesh. However, he never missed any opportunity to unearth Mulayam family's dominance inside the party. He said that he never interfered in policy matter of party. Singh quietly lashed out on Mulayam Singh for shaking hands with Kalyan Singh. Sanjay Dutt once again backed Amar Singh and said that his resignation should be accepted after Amar Singhji. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Share it
