    BJP expresses delight over Prachanda's resignation





    New Delhi: Expressing delight over the resignation of Nepal PM Prachanda, the Bharatiya Janata Party today said that the Government will have to keep an eye on developments in Nepal as Maoists will not allow progress of the democratic process easily in the neighboring country.

    Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha said, “we will not wail over the Prachanda's resignation and we are happy over it.” He said that the constitution committee of Nepal should constitute an interim government soon as possible.

    He added that the committee should start a process to shape a new constitution so that no efforts could be taken in future to derail the democratic process in Nepal.

    Sinha alleged that the conditions in neighbouring country turned from bad to worse due to the Indian Government's appeasement policy towards the Maoist when they were going to form a government in Nepal on the basis of strength.

    He expressed concern over the development and said that the Maoists can put hindrances in democratic process of Nepal and Indian Government should not turn a mute spectator over the developments for sake of its (India) interest.

    He said there should no interference in the internal issues of others but the India has right to express its concern over the developments that influence interest of Indian society and security.

    He said that our boundaries are open with Nepal. Therefore, India could not keep quiet over the developments in Nepal.
