New Delhi: Congress party looks all set for the cabinet expansion on Thursday after the party gave final touches to the list of 55 ministers when the top brass met at PM's residence here today, said sources.

According to the sources, at least 55 ministers are likely to be inducted in the cabinet expansion which will take place tomorrow.

The new names in the list include Farooq Abdullah, Veerbhadra Singh, Mallikarjun Khadge, Bhakta Charan Das, G K Vaasan, Jyotiradiya Scindhia, Subodh Kant Sahay, Sriprakash Jaiswal, Ajay Maakan, Pallam Raju, D Purandeshwari, Prithvi Raj Chauhan, Oscar Fernandes, Dayanidhi Maaran and KH Muniappa.

According to the party sources, Sriprakash Jaiswal and Ajay Maakan will get the rank of Minister of State (independent), where as Veerbhadra Singh is likely to get a cabinet berth.

It is worth mentioning here that Congress Party has been mulling over the allocation of ministries for the past few days. The party has attempted to satisfy all sections of the alliance in this cabinet expansion.
