Muzaffarnagar, May 27 : A woman was allegedly burnt alive by her husband and in-laws, who were furious over her for not giving birth to a 'male child'.

The macabre incident took place in Hasanpur Lohari village in the district yesterday. The deceased, Imrana, mother of three girls, was set ablaze by her husband Ifrar and his family, police said.

She was declared brought dead by the doctors, police said, adding that no arrests has been made so far in this connection.
