Woman, 6-month-old son die in road accident





New Delhi: In an unfortunate incident, a woman and her six-month old boy were killed while her husband escaped with injuries when a dumper rammed into their motorcycle in south-east Delhi while they were returning from hospital, police said today.

The mishap took place in front of Gurudwara Bala Saheb in Sunlight Colony at around 1:30 am. The deceased were identified as Pinky (24) and Tushar.

"They were on the way to their Put Khurd residence on a motorcycle when a speeding dumper hit them from behind.

Pinky's husband Vikas was riding the motorcycle," a senior police official said.

They were returning from AIIMS where Tushar was undergoing treatment for jaundice. The infant died on the spot while Pinky was declared brought dead in a nearby hospital.

Vikas had received some minor injuries and was given preliminary treatment.
