Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh has also got a major chunk of sops in the rail budget 2009-10 presented by Union Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee.

Lucknow, Varanasi, Agra, Mathura, and Kanpur stations are among the fifty stations which would be developed into world class facilities bearing stations.

375 stations, which will be developed into ideal one, include Allahabad, Jhansi and Raibareli.

Two out of twelve trains announced in the budget came into account of UP. These trains will operate between Allahabad and Delhi, and Luknow and New Delhi.

Apart from it, trains leading to Mumbai, Delhi and other parts of the country from Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Mathura, Varanasi, Jhansi and Agra have been announced.

Railway minister announced that Rai Bareli coach factory's work will also be accelerated.
