Bangalore: Two persons from West Bengal were arrested for alleged involvement in a fake currency racket and counterfeit notes with a total face value of Rs 41,500 seized from them today, police said.

The duo, natives of Malda taluk in West Bengal, were arrested during a raid on a lodge and 83 fake notes of Rs 500 denomination recovered from them, Deputy Commissioner of Police (West Division) B Shivakumar said.
