Dehra Dun: Two persons were killed and 23 others were feared drowned when a bus fell into the Bhagirathi river in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand on Friday.

Two bodies have been fished out of the swollen river, police said, adding nine passengers have been injured.

Around 40 people were travelling in the bus which was mostly carrying 'kanwarias' (devotees of Lord Shiva). The bus was going towards the Gangotri shrine.
