Muzaffarnagar, May 8 : A poacher has been arrested and two deer carcass seized from his possession in the district, police said here.

Sahib Singh was arrested last evening for allegedly killing two deer in Kheda Sarai village in the district, they said.

Police arrested Singh when he, along with four other armed poachers, was trying to take the animals on a bullock cart.

While, Singh was arrested, others managed to escape from the spot, they said, adding a case has been registered against the five at Miranpur police station.
