New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today praised Mamata Banerjee for presenting a people friendly budget. The PM said that the rail budget is wonderful and pro-people.

It is worth mentioning here that Union Railway minister Mamata Banerjee today announced several people friendly schemes in the rail budgets.

She said that 140 stations would have women commandos, brewing up more security drill in the wake of the terror activities.

Keeping in view passengers' facilities, she said that reservation counters will be opened at 200 cities.

Announcing sops for the employees of the railways, Mamata Banerjee said that employees would get facilities of railway quarters and their daughters would get scholarships.

She said that in the line of double decker buses, intercity double decker trains would be operated. She said that 375 stations would be developed as ideal stations.

She said that anti-collision machines would be used to avert accidents.
