No mobiles in schools: CBSE

New Delhi: In a major decision, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has asked its affiliated schools to ensure that “students must not be allowed carrying mobiles on the schools' premises”.

The board has also instructed that teaching and non-teaching staff should also not be seen using mobiles on the school premises.

The CBSE has banned the use of mobiles in schools, saying that mobile might cause anxiety and distraction. The Board also said that the mobiles and cameras might be misused by the students so they need not to come with them to the schools.
