Bihar Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar, hosted a grand iftar party at 1, Anne Marg which was attended by over 5,000 people.

Apart from the ritual items to break the fast, the menu included chicken, mutton, bread and pulao.

Prominent among those present were governor R. S. Gavai and leaders of various political parties. Former CMs Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi and Ram Vilas Paswan were not present.

He said that railway minister had told him earlier that he might not come due to his engagement elsewhere.

All the top police and civil officials were present on the occasion.
