Raipur: One person was killed and an under-construction police barrack was destroyed allegedly by Naxals in two separate incidents in Chattisgarh's Kanker district, police said on Tuesday.

Accusing one Najuk Ram Koracha of being a police informer, the Naxals dragged him out of his home in Thudhud village on Sunday night, Inspector General R K Vij said.

His body was recovered by villagers the next day with his throat slit, he said.

In an other incident, the Naxals destroyed a police barrack in PV-34 village after learning about its construction, Vij said.
