Lucknow: In a bid to damage control, Samajwadi supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav today called Amar Singh, who resigned from all party posts on January 6, 2010.

Mulayam spoke to Amar Singh over phone, sources said.
However, the details of discussions are yet to be received but sources said that he invited Amar Singh for closing session of Safai Mahotsav.

Mulayam invited Amar Singh as chief guest for closing session of Safai Mahotsav on January 21.

Earlier, the Samajwadi Party chief said that party will not accept his resignation and everything would be fine very soon.

The infight deepened when Bollywood actor turned-politician Sanjay Dutt also followed suit and stepped down as General Secretary of Samajwadi Party.
