New Delhi: It seems even police stations in the national capital are not free from thieves.

On February five, a motorcycle and a wireless set kept inside the two-wheeler of a policeman were stolen from inside the premises of Kirti Nagar police station in west Delhi.

Struck by the incident, police sources said today, a departmental inquiry has been ordered, besides placing Head Constable Narendra Kumar under suspension for negligence of duty.

This is not the first incident of theft from the police station as a few months ago, a Daily Diary (DD) register was stolen here.

Kumar was on night duty on February five and he had parked his motorcycle inside the police station premises. He had left the wireless in a box of the motorcycle and did not take it with him.
