Modi to address students via video conference on Teachers' Day





Ahmedabad, Sep 4 Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will address over one crore students via video conference on the Teachers Day tomorrow.

Besides this, Modi will also felicitate 35 teachers from across the state for their outstanding performance in the field of education.

The felicitation programme will be held here in the city.

Each teacher will be given a cash reward of Rs 21,000 and a certificate by the Chief Minister.

According to the state government spokesperson Jaynarayan Vyas, Modi's speech will be broadcast live in 7,600 primary schools and 4,391 secondary schools which have computers with LCD screens, 410 colleges and 90 self-financed institutes and 62 government polytechnics.

Moreover, Modi's address will also be broadcast live on 8000 e-gram panchayats and local cable services.

Vyas added that last year also, Chief Minister had addressed the students via video conference and he had also held interaction sessions with the students.
