Bhopal: A minor fire broke out in the additional coach of Bhopal-Bina passenger train today after it left the Bhopal station.

The additional coach which was closed and not meant for passengers was forcibly opened by some of them and sit inside it, railway sources said.

The passengers later switched-on its lights and fans following which due to high voltage minor fire broke out in the compartment between the Nishatpura yard and Sukhi Sevania station, the sources said.

The train was immediately stopped and the fire was doused by the railway staff. Nobody was injured in the incident, the sources added.

The railway officials later reached Sukhi Sevania station where the train was halted as scheduled and after thoroughly checking it cleared it for its onward journey.
