Kottayam: Physical efficiency test (PET) for the posts of security guards will be held at the Mahatma Gandhi University ground in first week of December.

According to sources, the PET will be held on December 1st, 2nd and 3rd. The list of the candidates, who have been found provisionally eligible, has been displayed at the university's website: http://www.mguniversity.edu/home.htm

The candidates, who applied for the post, might check the list that is available at the site.

Source said that the hall tickets will be delivered to the candidates. Candidates, who are not in receipt of the Hall Tickets by 24th November, 2009, should contact the Ad. A IV Section in the University Administrative Block, Priyadarshini Hills, Kottayam in person before 28th November.

Candidates should bring a recent Medical Certificate from a Medical Officer who must be the rank of a Civil Surgeon.

The Medical Certificate must contain fitness certifications, including Ear, Eye-Vision and Colour Vision, Muscles and Joints, CNS.

Other instructions are as follows:

Candidates, who are eligible for reservation under Community Quota except SC/ST Candidates are directed to produce attested copy of the non-creamy layer certificate issued by the Village Officer, at the time of Physical Test.
Candidates should wear the following dress at the time of the Physical Test. Shorts, T-shirts and PT Shoes.

The test consists of (1) 2.4 k.m. run and (2) Push-ups. Candidates should sign an undertaking stating the he is undergoing the tests voluntarily and University will not be held responsible if any injury occurs during the tests.

The candidates should enter their Name, Address, Roll Number and other particulars in the identification certificate overleaf and affix recent passport size photograph and also under the declaration. The identification certificate should be duly attested by a Gazetted Officer. Candidates who do not produce the Identification Certificate as per the instruction will not be admitted to the test.

Candidates shall report at the venue 30 minutes before the commencement of the test. Those who achieve the minimum physical standards only will be called for the personal interview. Candidates should detach the identification certificate and hand over the same to the officer-in-charge at the time of the test.

Originals of Discharge Certificate and any other certificates, if any, claiming priority in selection shall be produced at the time of Physical Efficiency Test.
No TA/DA will be paid to the candidate for attending the test.
