The counting of votes in the Maharashtra Assembly elections have started here today around 08.00 am amid tight security arrangements to elect the new 288 assembly.

Initial trends showed that it is close contest between Cong-NCP alliance and BJP-Shiv Sena.

At this moment trends for 288 seats are available and Cong-NCP are ahead in 140 seats while BJP-Shiv Sena are leading in 91.

It seems that MNS will also open its account in this assembly elections. MNS has been leading in 13 seats.

Others are ahead in 44 seats. This results are initial trends and might get changed later.
