Lok Sabha elections 2009: It's NDA vs UPA





New Delhi: As the stage is all set for the counting of votes polled in the nearly month-long Lok Sabha elections, the main fight is expected between UPA and NDA.

Both the political parties began searching for new friends fearing a fractured mandate in the Lok Sabha elections 2009.

UPA and NDA are trying to woo regional parties even their foes too to touch the magic figure of 272 in the 543 members House.

According to the Election Commission, counting would take place at 4,260 halls in 1,080 centres across the country.

There are total 8,070 candidates in the fray this time.

Counting will take place simultaneously for the votes polled in elections to state assemblies of Andhra Pradesh, Orissa and Sikkim.

The counting will start at 08.00 A.M on Saturday.

It is expected that final trends will be available by 12.00 pm.
