New Delhi: "Self-belief is what keeps you going," Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif said here after being honoured by Assocham for 'Excellence in Performing Art'.

The 25-year-old actress who was recently voted the Sexiest Asian Woman Alive, was given the award for her contribution to the world of cinema.

"I think everyone wants to make the best of the opportunities you get in life. Everyone has a special place in the world and I think self-belief is the most important thing which keeps you going so you should never lose it," Katrina told reporters here.

The actress, who had delivered hits like 'Ajab Prem Ki Hazab Kahani', 'New York' and 'De Dana Dan' last year, was to receive the award from Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, but she was not able to turn up because of "political commitments".
