    Infosys results fail to bring smile at BSE





    Mumbai: The unexpected 7.5 percent profit of Infosys Technologies in the second quarter failed to boost the confidence of the BSE sensex.

    The sensex opened flat and is up just 0.5 percent despite good performance by Infosys Technologies in the second quarter of 2009.

    The benchmark index was opened up 0.55 percent at 16,936.74 points while Nifty was reported 0.25 percent at 5,014.70.

    However, the leading software giant stocks were trading 2.5 percent higher at 2,267.20 rupees following the Q2 results. Market analysts believe that market will gain moment in the mid-session.

    Around 22 stocks were trading in green zone. It shares have witnessed large gains on Friday.

    According to the Infosys, the firm has added new clients in the FY 2009. Meanwhile, the company has announced interim dividend of Rs 10 per shares.
