Jaipur, Jan 3: India Stonemart-2009 would be organised in Jaipur from January 8 to 11 by Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ricco and Centre for Development of Stones and attended by 319 participants including 48 overseas exhibitors.

This is the fifth edition of the event organised in every two years. The list of overseas participants would include exhibitors from China, Italy, Russia, Spain, Turkey, the UK and Oman.

Participants from within the country are from Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharastra, New Delhi, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh, Ficci Chairman (Rajasthan State Council) Jai Sing told a press conference here.

Maximum participants, 133, are from Rajasthan while minimum participants, four each, are from Jharkhand and Punjab, while mere seven participants are from MP, another state with big stone industry.

Stones, stone art work, machineries, tools and equipments would be exhibited here, he said.
