Nagpur: Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar smashed his career's 46th Test hundred against South Africa on the fourth day of first Test here at VCA stadium.

The century was crucial as India were battling to save the match after facing follow-on.

At this moment Sachin Tendulkar was single handedly led India’s fight against South Africa. But he was dismissed by the Paul Harris just after his century.

India were 192 for five. Skipper MS Dhoni (14) and W Shaha (0) were at the crease at this moment. India still trail by 133 runs with five wickets remaining.

India will have to play today's one and half session and a full day tomorrow to avoid the possible defeat.

Earlier, India today lost two quick wickets of S Badrinath and Murli Vijay in the first session.
