Hyderabad: Four children met a watery grave after they accidentally fell in a tank in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh today, police said.

The incident occurred near a village in Mandasa mandal of Srikakulam district this afternoon, they said, adding bodies of two boys aged five each and two girls aged 14 and 12 were later retrieved by locals.

The children after taking lunch at a family function went to the outskirts of the village and it was still not clear if they entered the tank while playing, a police official said.

After the children went missing for more than one hour, family members and relatives along with locals launched a search and found their bodies in the tank.
