Sir Elton John today launched a verbal attack on aggressive photographers while presenting a young actor with an award at the Cannes Film Festival.

The musician, who is married to David Furnish, was presenting Canadian actor Kevin Zegers with an award for the film Transamerica when photographers began calling out to him during his speech.

John, accompanied by actress Elizabeth Hurley, was praising the talent of Zegers when he was interrupted.

He then launched into an expletive-laden tirade against the photographers, saying that you all should be shot.
