Bangalore: The Bangalore police on Monday unmasked the gun runners behind the Dawood Ibrahim gang in the city.

The arrests came days after the arrest of three other Dawood gangsters from Jhankhand and Uttar Pradesh who were involved in gun running as well.
The arrested Dawood's men are: Mohammed Ayub (28) of Banashankari, Fairoz (32) and Ansar (22) of Hoskote.

The sleuths have recovered one pistol, three revolvers and 21 rounds of ammunition.

Sources revealed that the three men set up an arms manufacturing factory in Karnataka and manufactured guns under the US tag.

These arrests could just be the tip of the iceberg of the underworld menace in Bangalore.

Last month, sleuths busted a gun-running racket and arrested Hussain Sab from Gadag, Nawab Barkatulla (Bihar) and Mohammed Siraj (Jharkhand).

The three had taken shelter in a madrassa near Chitradurga, procured arms from a state in north India and sold them to various gangs.
