Chandigarh, Nov 26: Close aides of Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan, who is reportedly not attending his office here for the past two weeks, claimed that they are not aware of his whereabouts.

According to a media report, Mohan, son of former state chief minister Bhajan Lal, is not attending his office here for the past two weeks nor did he attend the previous cabinet meeting.

The report also said that Mohan's colleagues in the cabinet and the Congress also have no idea where he is. He was last seen at his residence on the day of Diwali, it said.

Official sources here said that Mohan has not intimidated anyone about his whereabouts.

Chander Mohan's staff at his residence said that he had gone to Jammu and Kashmir in connection with the Assembly Polls in the state.

However, Haryana Congress president Phool Chand Mullana denied any knowledge in this regard and said that the party had not assigned any poll duty to him in Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Kuldeep Bishnoi, younger brother of Chander Mohan and President of Haryana Janhit Congress, said that he had spoken to his brother over phone last week.

According to him Chander Mohan had gone to visit the Vaishno Devi shrine, but he was not sure of his present whereabouts.
