Chris Martin praised for comedy talentLondon: English alternative rock band Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has been praised for his comedy talents and urged to seek acting roles by fellow rocker Tim Wheeler.
Wheeler has asked Martin to widen his career and seek acting roles after impressing them with his appearance in their unreleased 2001 horror movie "Slashed", reports. "He was the best thing in it. He's a really, really good actor. He could be really strong in comedy," said Wheeler. The movie also starred American rock band Foo Fighters' frontman Dave Grohl, singer Moby and actor James Nesbitt, with Martin appearing as Sherbert Bones, an FBI investigator hired to track down a supernatural serial killer alongside fellow agent Datsun Ford, played by his bandmate, guitarist Jonny Buckland. Although the film has remained unreleased, Wheeler hasn't ruled out airing the movie in future. "We're still talking about using that footage. A lot of people will want to see Chris Martin getting axed to death," he said. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Share it
