Chennai: It seems that rain God is in mood of drenching people if the met department officials are to be believed. They have predicted that downpour would continue till Sunday morning in this coastal city and other areas of Tamil Nadu.

People faced numerous problems as heavy downpour lashed this city on Friday, causing waterlogging and widespread damage to roads at several places.

Office goers find it difficult to reach their destinations due to water-logging and patches on the roads and alleys.

Employees of the corporation were on their toes to clear the chocked underground drainage. Sewage overflowed on to the road as drains were blocked.

Meanwhile, administration has asked the corporation officials to put in place elaborate arrangement to deal with the situation emerged after the situation.
