Ellenabad: The counting of votes in the Ellenabad bye-election to the Haryana state assembly has been underway at this moment.

Initial trends suggested that Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) candidate Abhay Singh Chautala has been taken lead over his nearest rival Indian National Congress (INC) candidates Bharat Singh Beniwal.

The younger son of INLD chief Om Prakash Chautala has been leading by 2985 votes at this moment.

BJP candidate Khorani Bharatbhai Vasharambha has taken lead over his nearest rival Shiv Sena's Shamajibhai Bhimajibhai Chauhan in the Chotila assembly constituency bye-election to the Gujarat assembly. Vasharambha is leading by 20128 votes.

On the other hand, Maharashtra Samajwadi Party chief Abu Azmi's son Farhan Abu Asim Azmi has been leading by 3864 votes to his nearest rival Shiv Sena's Rupesh Laxman Mhatre in Bhiwandi East assembly seat. Earlier, he was trailing.

The bye-election for these constituencies were held on last Wednesday.
