Islamabad: At least 11 people were killed and 50 others injured in a bomb explosion here today, sources said.
According to the sources, the explosion was triggered by a motorcycle, which struck a passing bus, carrying Shia Muslims.
Meanwhile, the injured have been rushed to state-run Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
The bus was on its way to attend a religious gathering when the mishap occurred.
Medical officials said that they received 11 bodies and admitted 50 injured people.
Eyewitnesses said that nearby buildings were also damaged in the blast.
It is worth mentioning here that Pakistan has witnessed spurt in the suicide attacks.
