Mumbai: A R Rehman an Oscar winner and a singer has been invited by Academy motion pictures of art and science for its membership. Director of Slum dog Millionaire ‘Danny Boyle' has also received the same invitation.

If both of them accepts the invitation then they will be honored at a Beverly hills program which will held in September.

Academy Motion Pictures Of Art has invited 134 new member for the Oscar membership.

Oscar has around 6000 members. The votes of the members decide the Oscard award. After accepting the invitation A R Rehman and Danny Boyle will be able to give their vote for the award from the next year.

Significantly, A R Rehman was given two awards for his best contribution to music in Slum Dog Millionaire.
