Tiruchirappalli,Oct 25 : Maya Appliances, manufacturer of well known Preethi brand of home appliances plans to have a pan India presence by 2011-12 and reach an aggregate turnover of Rs 500 crore, a top company official said here today.

"Our ambitious plan is to have an a pan-India presence by 2011-12 and get to an aggregate turnover of Rs 500 crore," Vijay Srinivasan, Director (Marketing), told PTI.

He said the company had penetrated the Maharashtra market last year with the launch of their products in Mumbai and would enter Gujarat before the end of this fiscal.

In the first quarter of next year, the company would be in the National Capital Region, he said.

On turnover, he said the company expects turnover to touch Rs 350 crore this year,up from Rs 237 crore in the last fiscal

To strengthen manufacturing capacity, the company would put up two greenfield plants "with significant investments." The first would be in Chennai and the other one in the districts, he said.

He said the company had last week commissioned a Rs 10 crore mixer assembly unit at Navalur near Chennai.
