Amar, Mulayam absent from swearing-in ceremony





New Delhi: Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and General Secretary Amar Singh did not attend the swearing-in ceremony of second edition of UPA government at Rashtrapati Bhawan here on Thursday.

According to the sources, the two senior leaders preferred to remain absent keeping in mind the sour experiences in the previous swearing-in ceremony.

It is worth mentioning here that the two Samajwadi Party leaders were made to sit in the last row following confusion in seating arrangement at the Rashtrapati Bhawan.

It is worth mentioning here that Manmohan Singh's jumbo cabinet took oath for office and secrecy before the President on Thursday.

PM Manmohan Singh will lead a 78-member council of ministers, including 33 cabinet ministers and 45 ministers of state.
